Currently, there is an urgent need to equip traffic light facilities on the territory of Ukraine with backup power systems in case of emergency power outages or scheduled power outages.
The backup power supply devices “KOMKON RG300” and “KOMKON RG600” provide backup power for most traffic lights objects with a power consumption of up to 300 W for 7-8 hours and 14-16 hours, respectively.
The equipment operates in automatic mode and does not require additional maintenance.
“KOMKON RG300” and “KOMKON RG600” are equipped with lithium batteries and can work at temperatures from -20°C to + 40°C. At the same time, both the battery discharge mode (powering the traffic light object) and the charge mode from the external network are provided. As a rule, industrial batteries (including helium and AGM) are designed for charging at positive temperatures. In addition, they have large dimensions and weight. Unlike them, lithium batteries have better weight-to-size characteristics, which allow you to place the equipment in a small cabinet, and the weight of such equipment is relatively small.
The devices provide fast charging of the lithium battery, which is important in conditions of frequent power outages, when the charge must be restored in a short period of time. To ensure the operation of the battery and charging devices in the summer heat and winter cold, thermal insulation, heating and ventilation are used in the devices. The devices also provide the possibility of connecting a solar battery.
Back-up power supply devices “KOMKON RG300” and “KOMKON RG600” include the following components:
- hybrid inverter POW-HWM2.4-24V (POW-HWM3.2-24V);
- rechargeable lithium battery;
- thermostat – 2 pcs.;
- fan;
- heating film – 4 sections;
- DIN-rail with input and output devices, terminal connectors, lightning protection;
- heat-insulated metal cabinet;
- connecting harness;
- system of intelligent control of blinds.
The hybrid inverter provides the function of controlling the voltage of external power sources. External power and load lines are connected to the device using terminal blocks located on the DIN rail.
Backup power supply devices “KOMKON RG300” and “KOMKON RG600” can work as part of the automated traffic control system “KOMKON ASKDR”: KDC controllers, when connected to backup power devices, are able to transmit information about the controller’s power status to the control center with display on the display – from mains or back-up power supply.
